Dear friends and family,
I would like to inform all of you that I am being called to do a mission’s trip to Haiti. I prayed to God for help in finding a new apartment and told him I wanted help in getting started in doing missions. Only hours after prayer, God already started working. A decent priced studio apartment came up in the paper and the very next day I went to see the apartment. As I was talking with the landlord I found out that she has been a Haiti missionary in the school system for the past 7 years. I told her how I have great interest in missions and I would like to go on a trip someday. So she invited me to come down and check it out. This was the moment that I knew I was where God wanted me and that is was time to start packing my bags!
So not only do I have an apartment, I have been invited to go to Haiti and work with the kids in the schools. I had been asked to teach at church before but I really wasn’t up to it. For a short period of time I considered teaching in a regular school but told myself that I needed a more meaningful reason to teach other than an awesome work schedule. Soon after, I had my pastor ask me and even through an online career test, teaching was on the list. I am hearing Gods calling once again and I’m finally ready to step up to the calling and do a short trip to Haiti. As excited as I am to get to Haiti, I’m going to need a lot of prayer and support. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I continue with this journey!
